The Civil Supplies Office / corporation in a nutshell, strives to ensure the welfare of the consumers of the state, through a wide network of public distribution system.It aspires to provide better quality food grains to the consumers using scientific standard of testing & storing.In some of its recent initiatives, the corporation also endeavors to safeguard the interest of the farmers by providing minimum support price for their surplus produce through paddy procurement at their door step.

Supply of PDS rice for BPL And KBK APL – PDS rice is being supplied at Rs. 2.00 kg to all the BPL families and non-BPL families in KBK districts with effect from August, 2008. The scale of entitlement is 25 kg per family per month. Antyodaya Anna Yojana – 35 kg rice per family per month is being provided for 12.645 lakh AAY families at Rs. 2/- per kg from August, 2008. Prior to this, the consumer price was Rs.3 per kg. Destitute old age persons who are otherwise eligible for old age pension, but not included in the scheme are provided 10 kg rice free of cost under this scheme. 64800 persons have been covered under the scheme.
